Deferral for Bolzano Report

Brussels, 06/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - At the request of the Austrian Commissioner, Franz Fischler, the Commission has postponed until 20 July a decision concerning application of the directive on the protection of personal data in the province of Bolzano, Italy. The affair concerns the collection of nominative information on languages spoken in the province, where a German-speaking minority live.
