01/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Joseph Wwresinski Thinkers Circle will hold its next meeting on 16 June in Brussels on the theme of "What Constitutes a Fair Society"? The meeting will begin with a reading from Father Wresinski's November 1977 paper on Les Trois Refus du Mouvement ATD Quart Monde the Three Refusals of the ATD Fourth World Movement: refusal of poverty being pre-determined; refusal of judging those who suffer poverty; refusal of spiritual and human waste, which sees society quite unable to benefit from those who are living in poverty. The debate will be chaired by Philippe Van Parijs, a lecturer at the Catholic University of Louvain and introduced by ATD Quart Monde. During the last meeting of the reflections circle, Jean-Marc Ferry, professor at the Free University of Brussels appealed for a "an unconditional basic income (...) open to all".
