UNICE says "harmonisation of corporation tax" will not encourage growth or reduce relocations but an effective and innovative industrial policy would do

Brussels, 14/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - In response to Franco-German ideas on harmonising corporation tax in the EU (EUROPE 14 May pp 4, 5), European employers said that they were hostile to the initiative. According to UNICE, the main inconvenience would be that harmonisation would prevent competition between Member States.
