Strasbourg, 05/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the EP approved, in a secret ballot, the nomination of eight members of the Court of Auditors from the new Member States, but voted against that of the Slovak candidate, while Constantinos Karmios, of Cyprus, withdrew from the running. It was voted in plenary that the candidature of Julius Molnar (Slovakia) should be rejected with 429 in favour, 72 against and 54 abstentions.
