Brussels, 05/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, Italy and Austria signed a bilateral treaty concerning the project to build a 56-km long rail tunnel through the Brenner (Austria). The project, costing an estimated EUR 4.5 billion, is on the list of thirty priority projects for development of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) adopted last month (EUROOPE of 23 April, p.11).
