Brussels, 04/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The euro-zone seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate stood at 8.8% in March 2004, as in February 2004, according to data published on Tuesday by Eurostat. The unemployment rate in the enlarged EU (EU25) reached 9.0% in March 2004, the same as in February. The lowest rates were recorded in Luxembourg (4.1%), Ireland and Austria (4.5% each), Cyprus (4.7%), the Netherlands (4.7% in February) and in the United Kingdom (4.7% in January).
