Commission clears Ford acquisition of Polar Motor

Brussels, 03/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the UK car retailer Polar Motor Group Ltd by the US carmaker, Ford Motor Company. Until now, Polar has been a joint venture between Ford and Jardine Motors Group plc, at the head of a 40-retail outlet network in the United Kingdom, which mainly distributes Ford and Mazda vehicles.
