70 million EUR for regulation of fishing activities

Brussels, 03/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 29 April, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted without debate a decision to make available a total of 70 million EUR in aid (2004 and 2005) to help the Member States implement regulatory measures under the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP). The Member States will be able to obtain Community aid to buy certain equipment (computer networks, satellite observation systems and on-board electronic weighing systems, "blue boxes" to localise fishing...
