13/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The legislative package aimed at creating a European Single Sky by 31 December 2004 was published in the Official Journal L96 of 31 March 2004. The package, which will take effect twenty days after its publication, includes: - Regulation 549/2004 setting the framework for implementation of European Single Sky as well as a Council declaration on the military questions linked to European Single Sky; - Regulation 550/2004 relating to the provision of air navigation services in the European Single Sky; - Regulation 551/2004 on the organisation and use of airspace in the European Single Sky; - Regulation 552/2004 concerning the interoperability of the European air traffic control network. Parliament and Council reached an agreement on this legislative package in conciliation committee on 9 December (EUROPE of 11 December).
