European Commission soon to examine agreement between Ryanair, Walloon authorities and Charleroi airport

Brussels, 13/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Walloon authorities and Charleroi Airport (Belgium) concluded a proposal of agreement last Friday with the Irish low-cost airline, Ryanair. The aim is to allow the Irish airline to continue using Charleroi Airport after the European Commission decision of 3 February 2004 denouncing aid granted to Ryanair by the Walloon authorities and Charleroi Airport. The agreement must be forwarded to the Commission in coming days for approval.
