Reasoned opinions to 8 Member States on failure to transpose directive on protection of privacy and electronic communications

Brussels, 01/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission began the second phase of infringement proceedings against eight Member States for failure to notify measures transposing the directive on privacy and electronic communications into national law. The directive governs aspects such as undesirable electronic mail (spam) and identifiers (cookies).
