01/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, after the hearing of Stavros Dimas, the new European Commissioner for social affairs, (EUROPE yesterday p 9) which followed the departure of Anna Diamantopoulou, the European Parliament adopted a resolution approving the new composition of the Commission for the mandate leading up to 31 October (324 votes for, 12 against, with 65 abstentions).
