Strasbourg, 01/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption, by 221 votes against 84 and 46 abstentions, the report by Dutch Christian-Democrat Arie Oostlander, the European Parliament welcomes efforts made by Turkey in reforms and the respect for the Copenhagen political criteria. However, it feels that Turkey now needs to bring these reforms into everyday life, and that additional reforms will be necessary, and recommends the adoption of a new Constitution in order to complete the...
