ECB executive board Appointment postponed till 25 March - Europe "should have more self-confidence to take advantage of world recovery"

Brussels, 09/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The successor of Domingo Solans (Spain) to the executive board of the European central Bank will be appointed on 25 March. Euro zone ministers of the economy and finance decided on Monday to postpone their decision until their dinner in a backdrop to the European Council. On Monday voting ballots were ready but in the knowledge that there was still no agreement on the name, ministers chose to put off their decision.
