Luxembourg, 08/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Justice heard listened to the pleas from the Commission and France, the Commission demanding that France is subject to a daily penalty of 316.500 euros for every day that is late in implementing checks on fishing activities. The Commission is asking for a penalty for failure to comply with the Court judgement of 11 June 1991, which penalised France for the same reasons.
