Brussels, 08/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday morning, Commissioner Pascal Lamy presented the various changes in the European Union trade defence mechanisms to the press. These changes were to be adopted by the Council that afternoon. Describing the operation as "spring cleaning", the Commission explained that the adoption of these regulations allowed anti-dumping and anti-subsidy mechanisms to be adjusted to improve their effectiveness, transparency and visibility.
