Commission allocates one million euros in emergency aid to Palestinians of the Gaza Strip whose houses are being demolished by Israeli authorities

Brussels, 08/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to allocate EUR 1 million in emergency humanitarian aid to Palestinians whose homes have been demolished by Israeli authorities in the Gaza Strip. The funding, from the ECHO budget (European Community's Humanitarian Aid Office) are intended for the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestinian refugees.
