Brussels, 02/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Internal Market Commissioner, Frits Bolkestein, has called upon the Member States to find a rapid agreement on the Community patent, proposed in 2002. In late December, the Commission had adopted proposals to give the European Court of Justice competencies in patent matters, and to set up within it a new Community Patent Court (see EUROPE of 9 January, p.13).
