Commission and WHO keep close eye on situation - WHO believes there is no cause for alarm on risk of transmission between humans

Brussels, 02/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Although the spread of the bird 'flu virus has claimed twelve human lives in Asia, the European Commission is keeping calm about the possibility of the disease's being transmissible between human beings.
