Visit of Kofi Annan on 28-29 January to Brussels

Brussels, 16/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - UN Secretary General Kofi Annan will receive the Sakharov Prize for freedom of spirit at the European Parliament on 29 January, where he will also have a meeting with president Pat Cox. Between 20-29 January, Mr Annan will be touring Europe, where he will meet president Prodi on 28 January (he will be taking part in a working lunch with all Commissioners), the Irish presidency and Javier Solana.
