16/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption of the report by Pia-Noora Kauppi (EPP-ED, Finland), the EP has approve the modification of the 1997 directive on mutual assistance between competent Member States authorities on direct and indirect taxation- in short, speeding up information exchange between these authorities to fight tax evasion.
