Action against Luxembourg over energy saving

Brussels, 18/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to take Luxembourg to the European court of Justice for non notification of transposition measures for European rules on energy labelling for electric ovens. The 2002/40/EC directive on labelling electric ovens, adopted on May 8 2002 should have been transposed into national legislation by 31 December 2002 at the latest.
