Member States negotiate all night for agreement on catch allowances and fishing days

Brussels, 18/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - Negotiations by the Fisheries Council on fixing total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas for 2004, the new restrictions on the number of fishing days and the strategy for reconstituting cod and hake stocks continued during the night of Thursday to Friday after compromise texts by the Italian Presidency had been presented in agreement with Commissioner Franz Fischler.
