17/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw has made it clear that the British government is not in a hurry to reopen the IGC on the European constitution. He told The Times that they had to wait for consensus, adding "But time is what we have", much more so given that the Treaty of Nice will be in force till 2009 (see p 5 on subject of Polish Prime Minister's declarations).
