Commission to include companies from five Balkan states in pre-accession calls for tender

Brussels, 17/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The five countries of the western Balkans (Albania, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro) may, in the future, take part in calls for tender organised by the EU as part of its three pre-accession programmes (Phare, Ispa, Sapard), according to a proposal by the European Commission presented on Tuesday.
