08/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the Council of the EU adopted a directive allowing France to continue to apply reduced duty to cigarettes and tobacco sold in Corsica. The measure was approved by the European Parliament in Strasbourg in October in order to avoid a conflict over cigarettes on the beautiful island of Corsica.
