Green light for EUR 4 billion cut in Member States' contributions in 2003 or 2004

Brussels, 08/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report by Göran Färm (PES, Sweden) on Thursday, the EP approved without amendment the cancelling of EUR 5 billion in credit payments from the 2003 budget. These credits are sums from the 1994-1999 Structural Funds which it was not possible to implement within the given time frame.
