No to agreement "at any price", warn Mr Berlusconi and Mr Schröder - Mr Aznar still waiting for Italian proposal on voting in Council

Brussels, 08/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - After his meeting with Chancellor Schröder lasting an hour and a half in Berlin on Sunday, the President of the European Council, Silvio Berlusconi, continuing his bilateral contacts ahead of the Brussels summit, said that the main thing is for the future Constitutional Treaty to open up the way for a Europe which is "capable of deciding and of functioning", and not to rush into "concluding (the IGC) in Brussels at any price".
