EP seeks introduction of European health insurance card in June 2004

Brussels, 05/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the report of Danish Liberal, Anne Elisabet Jensen on social security systems, the European Parliament is pushing for the European Health Insurance Card to be introduced in June 2004, as requested by the Commission. the EP is also calling for the directive to stipulate that Member States ensure that those insured are informed in an appropriate manner on their rights and responsibilities present in the current regulation.
