Commission deplores Court ruling over Volkswagen

Brussels, 05/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is disappointed to see annulled by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) its decision concerning the Volkswagen automobile manufacturer, indicated the spokesperson Tilman Lueder (yesterday's EUROPE, p. 18). The Court ruling will make it very difficult to undertake future prosecutions against automobile manufacturers for unfair trade practices, underlined the spokesperson.
