Ministerial debate on Tuesday on revision procedures for the treaty and roll of Minister for Foreign Affairs

Brussels, 14/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Italian Presidency is again going to submit on Tuesday at the Intergovernmental conference the proposals for a more flexible revision procedure for part III of the drat treaty, despite the reticence expressed at the end of October by most current and future Member States (EUROPE 28 October p 5). The simplified procedure consists in replacing unanimity with qualified majority and codecision by abandoning the ratification process in each Member State....
