Westerwelle wants to believe FDP will return to EP - Head on collision with Franco-German pair

Amsterdam, 14/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - During the ELDR Congress, the leader of the German Liberals (FDP), Guido Westerwelle, strongly criticised the Schröder government. "When Germany is badly governed, it is also bad for Europe", he said. He was also highly critical of any partnership being formed between two or three capitals which, in his view, could divide Europe. At the beginning of his speech, Mr Westerwelle explained he was going to speak in German "so that you can get used to it...
