Green light to aid for Spanish shipbuilders

Brussels, 14/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised Spain to grant aid for shipbuilding, in virtue of the provisions contained in the temporary defensive measures (TDM) introduced last year in this sector. The TDM forms part of the two fold strategy established by the EU to counter the unfair practices used by the Korean Republic in the shipbuilding sector, after the failure to reach an amicable settlement.
