College examines draft directive on implementing equal treatment for men and women, notably in insurance

Brussels, 04/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for Social Affairs, Anna Diamantopoulou, will be presenting the College with a draft directive on "the implementation of equal treatment between women and men with regard to accessing public goods and services provision, as announced b to the EP social and employment affairs committee last October (EUROPE 8 October p 13). This proposal is expected to be approved by the EP and the Council.
