Commission proposes revising of quantitative limitation system on some steel products from Ukraine

Brussels, 27/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 22 October, the European Commission presented a Council draft decision for revising the import system for certain steel imports from the Ukraine, in 2004.

The partnership and cooperation agreement between the EU and Ukraine lays down that the trade in some steel products will be subject to a specific agreement. The previous bilateral agreement between the European (ECSC) European Coal and Steel Community and the Ukraine expired on 31 December 2001....
