Commission recommends EU joins Central Commission for Navigation of the Rhine and the Danube Commission

Brussels, 26/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission on Friday adopted recommendations to ask the Council to authorise it to negotiate the EU's membership of the Central Commission for Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR) and the Danube Commission. The aim is to simplify the legal situation on the Rhine and improve preparations for enlargement.
