Negotiations on protection of privacy of transatlantic passengers still at standstill

Brussels, 23/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - No discernible progress seems to have been made on the protection of privacy of passengers on transatlantic flights at the meeting in Brussels on Monday between Commissioners Frits Bolkestein and Antonio Vitorino, and American Defence Under-Secretary; Asa Hutchinson. Both parties have committed only to finding a modus vivendi by the end of the year. Another meeting between Frits Bolkestein and Asa Hutchinson will take place in Washington on 14/15...
