China to participate in Galileo project - agreement to be initialled on Thursday in Peking

Brussels, 16/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - China is goring to be involved in the European Galileo project through an agreement expected to be signed on Thursday 18 September in Peking. The Galileo project aims to provide Europe (by 2008) with a radio-navigation and satellite positioning system that covers the globe and which is civilian controlled.
