The British nuclear energy group BRITISH ENERGY has given up its 50% share in the American group AMERGEN for 277 million dollars. FLP- FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT bid to take over its share, but EXELON, BRITISH ENERGY's partner in AMERGEN, had the right to veto the sale to FLP, on the condition that it would acquire its partner's 50% at the price agreed with FLP.
