Commission takes action against 10 Member States over ERIKA I maritime safety legislation and lists 122 dangerous vessels

Brussels, 28/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission decided on Friday to initiate legal proceedings against 10 Member States for failing to notify transposition of this key EU maritime safety legislation (the two directives from the ERIKA I maritime safety package). The countries in question are Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Sweden.
