25/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - During a visit to Cyprus last week, Italian European Affairs Minister Rocco Buttiglione said that Italy had excellent relations with Turkey and would do its best to convince Ankara to cooperate in the Cyprus reunification process. On Thursday, Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash proposed to mine-sweep the outskirts of Nicosia as a sign of good will.
