Romano Prodi anticipates heated debate before IGC - In its opinion on convening IGC, Commission to insist on quasi-abandonment of unanimity

Brussels, 03/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - Invited by The European Policy Centre (EPC) to speak about The Convention and Beyond, Romano Prodi confirmed that, in its opinion on convening the intergovernmental conference on the European Constitution, the European Commission would insist that the rule of majority is extended "to most of our decisions".
