Strasbourg, 03/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has pronounced itself at second reading on the general and sectorial (water, energy, transport, post) directives on public procurement, in its adoption on Wednesday of the reports by Stefano Zappalà (Forza Italia). These directives simplify and modernise Community rules on awarding public contracts for work and services, and the co-ordination for awarding sectorial contracts in the EU.
