EU and Phnom Penh conclude bilateral package for Cambodia's accession to the WTO

Brussels, 23/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 20 June in Geneva, Phnom Penh and the EU concluded bilateral talks concerning market access with a view to Cambodia's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The Commission believes "this is a first but decisive step towards the conclusion of the negotiations for the accession of Cambodia to the WTO".

Cambodia applied to join the WTO in December 1994, but negotiations did not really start until May 2001. The Commission stresses in a press...
