Menrad report highlights importance of staff benefitting from company profits

Strasbourg, 11/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - During its plenary session in Strasbourg at the end of May, the European Parliament adopted by a huge majority the report by German Christian Democrat MEP Winfried Menrad on staff profit-sharing in companies. Highlighting the importance of profit-sharing in terms of realising the European social model, the EP calls for staff to be given greater protection against risks and company bankruptcies not through EU legislation but greater mutual recognition...
