Commission decides to take legal action against three Member States for failing to carry out impact studies as required by EU legislation

Brussels, 07/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 7 April the European Commission decided to continue the proceedings it has launched against the UK, Sweden and Ireland for failing to meet EU legal requirements that prior environmental impact assessments (EIA) be carried out for certain public and private sector projects.
