First appraisal for FEMIP, private sector support instrument in Euro-Mediterranean area

Brussels, 07/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 3 April in Istanbul, the EU and its twelve partners in the Mediterranean area appraised the new European Investment Bank-managed financial instrument, FEMIP (Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership), which was officially created last October as a result of the conclusions from the European Council of Barcelona (March 2002), and the Euro-Mediterranean Conference in Valencia (22 and 23 April 2002).
