Surprise inspection of Peugeot Citroen

Brussels, 07/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - Tilman Lueder, spokesperson for Competition Commissioner Mario Monti, has confirmed that the Commission made surprise inspections last week at the headquarters of French car-maker PSA Peugeot Citroen. According to the Financial Times, the Commission suspects Peugeot of blocking parallel imports by preventing customers in countries where Peugeots are expensive from buying their cars in countries with lower prices.
