Brussels, 03/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Payments Council, composed of three European banking associations, has reached several agreements to facilitate the implementation of the regulation on cross-border payments for transfers between accounts, as of 1 July. The regulation, which entered into force in July 2002 for payments by card, forces banks to apply the same tariffs for national and cross-border payments.
