03/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Green/EFA group at the European Parliament are organising a conference on maritime safety in Europe on 11 April in Bayonne (France). It will be preceded by a meeting between MEPs, fishermen, oyster bed workers, as well as a visit to the industrial port of Bayonne on 10 April. Conference themes are: the world of maritime transport, maritime safety, accident response and environmental and social responsibilities.
